Raleigh Christmas Parade

This past weekend we went to the Raleigh Christmas Parade. While running around before the parade started, I found a nice lightpole to hug.
When the parade started, I sat still for a long time and enjoyed the floats and marching bands.
One of our best friends, Kristine, joined us for the parade. She even let me sit on her lap for part of it.

And, of course, the big guy himself. Boy do I love a parade!

Parade Dance

Sometimes that marching music just moves you... just click on the "PLAY" button to see me do my thing.

Mallin' With Carter

We went to the mall today with Carter and his Mommy. Luckily, both mommies like to play in the play area almost as much as we do.

Guess who we saw at the mall...

Go Packers!!!

Finally, thanks to the Packers playing the Panthers, we got to watch a Sunday afternoon game at home. We made some pizza and nachos and settled in for some classic NFL action.
This is my reaction when the Panthers scored. Luckily, that didn't happen very often ;-)
And here's how we celebrate when the Packers score. I'm still working on my Lambeau Leap - maybe we'll have pictures by the playoffs.
Looks like Sugar is willing to help finish up those crusts.

Not-So-Sleepy Boy

Sometimes even the best stories can't get a boy to fall asleep right away.
Sometimes a boy needs a couple of extra toys in bed with him. I got all of these into my crib without ever climbing out of it.
P.S. Climbing into my crib (with the side lowered) is my newest trick.

Addition Update - 19Nov07

We've got windows! Actually, we've had windows for a couple of days now - we're just getting around to posting the latest pictures.
Windows to help keep us warm in the winter and cool in the summer...
A couple of interior shots. Here's the duct work over the master bedroom.
And the view through the hallway between the family room and the bedroom.
And a wall with a window.

Topsail Beach Weekend

We spent the first weekend in November in Topsail Beach, NC with Suzanne, Craig and their canine companions Holden and Phoebe (click here for more canine-centric blogging, including a beach video). It definitely wasn't sunbathing weather, but it warmed up enough each day for a nice, long walk on the beach. We had a fantastic time over the weekend and we really appreciate Miss Grace letting us stay there.

Anyone up for a little run on the beach?

Me and my shell and my shadow....
I think I'm finally getting the hang of these pockets.

Daddy and Cooper looking good on the Topsail sand.

I think I might have some sand in my shoe...

Grace's Place

Not all the fun happened outside on the beach. With a boisterous 2-year old and three happy dogs, even the indoors was one big party. Here I am on a chair that's just my size.
Sugar, Holden and Phoebe seem awfully interested in my snack bowl.
OK, nap's over, let's party!

Top Doggies on Topsail

Sometimes it's hard to tell who's having a better time on the beach - the doggies or the people.

Of course, all that running and swimming makes one appreciate a sunny deck even more.
Ahhhhh!

All Good Things...

Looking back, I wouldn't change a thing.

Addition Update - Monday, 05Nov07

Here's what the cement truck left us. By Tuesday morning, it was ready for framing.
Speaking of framing, here are our walls.
Assembled offsite for easier assembly.
