Funny Forty

Uncle Stephen turned 40 on April Fool's Day.
We surprised him with a party the weekend before that - and boy did we surprise him!
Grandma Jean made a neat poster in honor of the occasion.
Musical interludes were quite common that weekend, especially since Max loves music and has lots of instruments!

Happy Birthday, Uncle Stephen!

Easter Morning

Baskets for both kids...

Once the baskets were opened, it was time to play.
And to get a little work done around the house. Luckily, the Easter bunny brought two tool belts.

Coloring Easter Eggs

Addie, Carter and I got to color Easter eggs with our Mommies.
Here we are making tie-dyed eggs.

Hunting at Home

Having an Easter egg hunt at home means more eggs for everyone. Gammie Jo did a great job creatively coming up with ways to make sure everyone got prizes in their eggs.

Everyone had a "coupon" in one of their eggs for a pair of sunglasses.
What do you think of Carter's shades?

Easter Egg Hunt... Almost

Here we are a the start of the Easter egg hunt at Moore Square. It looked like there were a million eggs on the Square, but with over 4000 kids racing to pick them up, this turned out to be more than three kids, 18 mos. to 3 yrs., had bargained for. Only one of the kids ended up finding any eggs during this hunt, but luckily some of the volunteers were nice enough to make sure an egg or two found their way into each little person's Easter bucket.

Our buddy Carter was a true friend and shared his eggs.

Hangin' Out at Home

This one's for you, Uncle Keith...
Playing indoor monster-feet baseball with a cat-shaped flyswatter.
That one's leaving the yard, baby!
Speaking of the yard, what better place to go fly a kite?
Sugar likes the back yard as well - just wait 'til it's done!
