Warm Weekend

With the warm weather last weekend, we spent a lot of time outside. Paulie came to visit and then we had friends over for pizza on Sunday afternoon. All in all, a great weekend.
Here are a couple of shots that Paulie took this weekend during our walk through Duke Gardens.

Here I am hanging out with my buddy, Coen. He and Hudson (and their families) came over for pizza on Sunday. The pirate costume was a big hit.

And Paulie took the best picture ever of Bacchus. Believe me, we've spend many years trying to get a picture this good. Muchas gracias, Senor Paul.

Duke Gardens

While strolling through Duke Gardens last Sunday, we ran into a friend from school. Jason's not only a good friend, he's a darn good tree climber...
...and we're both aspiring photographers.

Trip to the Museum of Life and Science

This past Saturday, we visited the Durham Museum of Life and Science with our good buddy, Paulie. He drove up from Atlanta to visit and boy, did we have a good time. With a 40-50 degree improvement in temperature over last weekend, Mother Nature sure knows how to welcome visitors.
The outdoor drums are always a big draw at the museum.
And the ornithopter ride is a must for everybody who likes to fly. If you click on the picture, I'll wave Hello.

Grandma Jean's Visit

It was still pretty cold when Grandma Jean came to visit. Although we played outside some, we also hunkered down inside for some good, old-fashioned fun. Who knew Finding Nemo had some scary scenes??? Luckily, Mommy and Grandma provided all the support a guy could need.

At night, we roasted marshmallows and made S'mores.

I love it when family visits!

John's Birthday

OK, so it was John's birthday, but we don't have any pictures of John to post. I guess pics of The Boys will have to do. Here we are enjoying a couple of birthday cupcakes.

We built up our appetites by playing a little baseball.

And we worked off the cupcakes by walloping the pinata that Mary Catherine made.

Each of these guys did some damage to the football pinata - and both really enjoyed the candy when it finally gave up the goods.

Defender of the Hearth

In addition to our guard dog, Red Ninja Power Ranger also protects our house from potential evildoers
