The Treats He Brought

From previous posts you all know how I love a basketball hoop. This one is just my size. Yep Uncle Paulie, I can dunk!
Popi brought the rocking horse that Mommy and Aunt Amanda used to ride on when they were little. It's in great shape and one heck of a wild ride! Stay tuned for pictures of me and my adventures on my horse, complete with cowboy hat and chaps!

What else do granparents treat you with but chocolate ice cream?!

Oh yeah, Popi can treat you with some size 13 shoes. They were more than enought to keep me busy all weekend!

Just a Lazy Sunday

Popi was here to visit a couple of weekends ago, and my parents being slouches, are just getting the rest of the pictures up on the blog. There is nothing better than having my morning cup of milk on the front porch. This is just the start to a not so 'lazy day'.
First, we went to the Raleigh State Farmer's Market
to taste test strawberries. Boy, do I LOVE strawberries. We also bought tomatoes, asparagus, sweet potatoes, onions, cheese, cookies and bread.

Next, we went to Garden Supply Company
to buy plants to plant in our front yard. Here I am riding in the wagon, I have the best eye for picking out flowers and plants. Ssshhhh! Don't tell anyone, but our front yard is in the running for 'Yard of the Month'.

Sugar is very thirsty after mulching up the sticks in the yard. Thankfully, Daddy filled my wheelbarrow with water so she could take a drink.....

And I could take a well deserved soak!

Mother's Day

In honor of Mother's Day, here are a couple of pictures of Mommy's other kids...

Editor's note: Mommy and the little guy are in Ohio with Gammy, Aunt Amanda, Uncle Keith and Addison - as a result, Daddy's on his own. While cleaning out the attic, Daddy found a bunch of pictures on old Kodak CDs. Enjoy.

Hiking Doggie

Here are a couple of pictures of Sugar on a hike that Mommy and Daddy took so that Daddy could show Mommy where he wanted to get married. Lucky for him, she really liked the spot (Wayah Bald)!

Pondering The Grape

Grapes can be almost anything - a serving of fruit, a snack, dessert. Well, any way you slice 'em, grapes are OK with me!

Front Porch Swing

There's almost nothing better than swingin' on the ol' front porch. While Popi was in town, we installed the new swing right on the front porch (actually, it's an antique swing that Gammy Jo found for me before I was born).

Yup, this looks secure - let's get swinging!

Cabin Fever

We spent a weekend in Blowing Rock, NC with friends from Atlanta. Paulie, Bob and Laura met us on Friday night and we stayed through Monday. We stayed at a really neat cabin called Alpine Escape. It had plenty of room for all of us, including the doggies - Sugar and Snoop (Snoop came up with Laura and Bob). If you want to see a really good picture of the inside of the cabin, you can check out Paulie's blog (check out the April 25th post - and then check out April 30th for a good picture of Sugar). Speaking of Sugar... Bob looked a little tired during our hike, so I offered encouragement.
Sometimes a little perspective can be downright depressing... I need another six feet of height before I can even think about that basketball scholarship.
Mommy's always willing to share her ice cream with me - boy do I love me some chocolate!
When we got home and unpacked, look what I found at the bottom of one of our bins.
