CJB Photo Gallery

If you let a 4-year old loose with your camera, you're bound to end up with pictures like these. What's really funny to me is that even though there is a big LCD screen on the back of the camera, our little purist prefers to use the viewfinder.
He's definitely getting better at centering his subjects.

Note the dramatic lighting used to highlight the fact that we use our couch - a lot!

Little brothers evidently cooperate more for big brothers than they do for their parents. Trying to get this little guy to smile (and hold still) is usually enough to drive the photographer to bang his/her head against a wall. Big brother got this shot in one take. Go figure.

Brrr, Something's Giving Me The Shivers...

"Wait a minute, a small mammal and a snowpile - this can't be a good sign."
From the new Dinosaur Trail at the NC Museum of Life and Science in Durham. Go ahead, click on over to the museum and check out the "What You're Blogging" section.

Life and Science

Off to the Durham Museum of Life and Science once again. One of our favorite places to play!

The butterflies are always a big hit - even if they are a little scary when they fly right by your head...

Showing off really cool stuff - one of the things big brothers do best.

More Snow? Hey, Why Not?

There's No Day Like a Snow Day!

Whether it's laying in it...

throwing it...

or tasting it, that frozen white precip is a lot of fun.

Snow Time Like The Present

Hey, now that it's 80 degrees outside, what better time for pictures of the family in the snow???

After almost 10,000 pictures, our camera has bit the dust. Looks like we'll be camera shopping this weekend. Hey, at least the computer is now working ;-)

Sick computer... again

OK, I guess that renewing the Norton Antivirus should have been a higher priority. Unfortunately for us, our computer is at the computer doctor - hopefully for a removal of whatever virus or worm is ailing it. And just as I was getting some momentum at posting...

Hopefully we'll return to catching up soon.

Last Day With Emily

In the pursuit of a decent picture (i.e. most kids smiling and/or actually looking at the camera), we often shoot one (or ten) "act silly" shots to work the impishness out of our subjects. Surprisingly enough, in this case, one of those pictures actually turned out the best.
At the beginning of February, Emily started her new job as a teacher, so both families got together to say goodbye and wish her the best of luck. Emily, we hope your new kids benefit as much from your guidance as ours did. Best of luck from all of us.

Boys Having Fun

Playing in Cooper's room.
Teaching your little brother how to talk like a Stormtrooper.

Just one more, bartender...

Christmas in Ohio

Nolan's First Christmas

As you can tell from the smiles, this little guy had a great time celebrating his first Christmas.
